We're developing an updated version of the WOMBAT MHD code based on HPE's open source Dragon framework for multiprocessing. The new framework allows for in-situ ML analysis and simulation control. We're developing a surrogate model project that will take the burden off of solving dynamically uninteresting regions by approximating them with a neural network.
